Our team is made up of a diverse range of people coming together because of one main reason - the need to work with great people in an environment which allows them to be at their best. The core process is the company's culture, driving the principles and values that guide each member of the organisation in their decision-making.

Software engineering is not easily understood by typical management or salespeople, making some companies unpleasant to work for. Being talented software engineers with unique skills and experiences, finding an appropriate company in which to dedicate our skills was a daunting task. That, and the fact that we didn't want to 'work for' someone, we wanted to 'work with' similar focused, determined and capable people. Our success comes from our shared values, agility for change and passion for all that life has to offer. Our aim is to set foundations and grow our culture by placing great people in situations where creativity can thrive and allow people to take responsibility for their successes.

Originally starting with one software program to cater for the hospitality industry in which we have vast experience, we discovered a niche in the market not only for the product but also for high-end software engineering in general and Capsicum Corporation evolved. Capsicum Corporation has been in business for more than 10 years and formally changed to its current form from marketing and hospitality with the purchase of ALC in 2002. We now have a team of individuals who each bring their own unique skills, experiences and education to the company.

This and our agility have led us to many varied projects and roles. Software engineering and the process to manage development are our long term goals so all 'employees' are directly employed in the software engineering process. Whilst we thrive on challenges that large projects provide, the smaller projects are met with equal enthusiasm and provide equal satisfaction.

By utilizing our management skills and collaborative infrastructure we work with experts from around the globe to provide the core skills when required and also utilize the fine grained management and QA processes we have when outsourcing repetitive defined code tasks on large scale projects, to places such as India. This ensures any size project will get to market in a timely and most cost efficient manner possible.

Capsicum Corporation is now based in Hervey Bay after years of being based in Brisbane. The upgrade of Hervey Bay airport means we can keep our relaxed lifestyle while having direct flights to meet regularly and collaborate with our clients and fellow developers nationwide.

Our working environment is designed by software developers for software developers. We provide the ability to work from home and have a centre of excellence to create the ideal working atmosphere where we communicate directly via networking. We also have the most technologically advanced collaborative infrastructure for development and design at our head office.
